Start the week with a BANG! Monday comes along and you take every step necessary to make it a healthy week. You get to the gym early, you bring your lunch to work, you sit down for a healthy home cooked meal, by Wednesday and Thursday you start making excuses for missing or cutting your gym time short, go out to dinner or happy hour and start making unhealthy choices. Then comes the weekend! You worked hard all week you deserve a break! — Sound familiar??? We all tend to relax on the weekends, that’s what they are for right? However, making excuses and loosening up on our healthy lifestyle for the weekend can sabotage our efforts to reach our health and fitness goals.
How will you stay motivated?!?!?!?
— Make sure you get your minimum 30 minutes a day of physical activity.
— Choose restaurants wisely.
— Look up menus and nutrition facts online BEFORE you go out to eat so you know exactly what you are eating before you sit down and are tempted to make poor decisions. Don’t even look at the menu!
— Schedule physical activities with your family and/or friends to get you outside and moving.
— Have your healthy go to foods on hand.
